Alabaster Water – Internship
Pay: $13.50/hour
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
The City of Alabaster is seeking a summer intern to assist with field maintenance, monitoring and projects related to the operations of pump stations and water production with Alabaster Water division. Intern will work under the direction of Grade 4 operators at the facility.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat and cold)
Exposure to animals, equipment, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise
Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in water quality Grade 4 operations and includes hands-on outdoor work.
