Immediate adjustment to Firefighter (Certified) pay upon completion of Firefighter I/II (Career Firefighter)
Firefighter (Certified): Salary Range - $52,686-$72,883
Salary Range including Holiday Pay / Minimum OT: $57,625 - $78,796
Immediate adjustment to Firefighter Paramedic upon obtaining Paramedic license.
Firefighter Paramedic: Salary Range $58,052 to 80,350
Salary Range including Holiday Pay / Minimum OT: $63,569 - $87,987
Higher entry salary potential for experienced Firefighter Paramedics

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum age 18; High School Diploma or GED; Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License. Must obtain and maintain an Alabama Department of Public Health Office of EMS Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic license within three years of employment.
A current Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) certificate that is valid for a period of not less than 6 months and maintained until completion of Firefighter I/II (Career F/F). If applicant does not have CPAT, candidate may participate in the testing process; however, must obtain CPAT prior to an offer being extended if applicable.
Must obtain and maintain certification as a Firefighter I/II (Career F/F) by the Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission within one year of employment.
